I hope that so far your last week of January has been beyond phenomenal. Before the month ends, I wanted to share with you ladies some of the healthy habits i plan on incorporating more into my life for this year.

For the most part I do live a generally healthy and active lifestyle, however, there is no better time than now to reflect and revise how I can improve.

Cause trust me, lately it has been a little more difficult for me to keep myself on track the last few months. While I have not beaten myself up over it, it is time to get back to me.

Here are some of the Healthy habits I will adapt be adapting in 2019

Listen to my body and rest

During my time away from working out five days a week and consistently being on-the-go, I realized how important it is for me to take the time to actually rest. Especially as women, our minds are continuously ticking. I will listen to my body more this year and give it the rest it deserves.

Increase my water intake

Within the last few months, I went from drinking nothing but water (close to if not a gallon a day) to struggling with 20 oz. This is not good for my system and it is absolutely important for me to get more water down, especially as I transition back into my workout schedule.

Practice consistent self love

After doing a lot of self reflection in the last few weeks due to me working on this blog as well as a few other near and dear projects I have realized while I have changed my viewpoint of myself for the better it can still be improved.

Like I have mentioned time and time before, self love is everything.

I believe that practicing self love sows in all aspects of your life, not just through saying you love yourself.

Because I have been there, done that, and as much as I said I loved myself I really didn’t feel that way on the inside.

In 2019 my goal is to be more intentional and consistent with loving on myself. I decided that this year will not be afraid to be alone and enjoying myself (that has been me in the past as well, I may do a blog on this a little later)

Physically challenge myself

If you didn’t know, last year, at the age of 30 I did my very first 5k marathon. It was the absolute best feeling ever completing something that sat on my to-do list for a long time. So for 2019 I do plan on completing at least five 5k runs (hopefully I do more than that but that is my minimum goal). I also want to get at least one 10k under my belt this year as well.

Work on my discipline level

If you pay close attention to the most successful people, they have a discipline level that is extremely strong:

  • They wake up at a consistent time
  • They spend their time, energy and resources wisely.
  • They seem to just effortlessly move through their life

While I am struggling to finish my to do list. I know that every year this is something that I want to improve upon, and for the most part I do: However, this year I plan on making a conscious effort to strength my level of discipline in my life by establishing a consistent morning routine and being more mindful of how I spend my time.

Eliminate dairy completely from my diet

I’m an avid believer that everyone’s body is different, some people can tolerate certain foods and some can not. In the case of myself, too much dairy does not work well with my system. About 2 years ago I did eliminate about 90% of the dairy I was consuming out of my diet, but lately I have been dabbling in and out with it ( Although I still don’t buy regular milk for my home and I use dairy free creamer in my coffee).

So far in 2019 I have been doing pretty good adapting this habit, although I am an avid cheese lover (sad face)

Incorporate daily vitamins

Vitamins are important! I’m starting to realize that a little bit more now that I am entering into my 30s. In the past I would take vitamins but I think I got to the point where I guess I got burnt out on them

I don’t know what it is, but when you take your vitamins, eat well and drink your water, you just have a glow. I’m trying to get that glow back. Plus I need my energy levels back up.

That’s it ladies! I plan on having a very blessed, aktive and healthy year in 2019 and I am expecting some amazing things to take place this year.
