How I stay healthy on the go

Can you stay healthy while you are always on the go?

The simple answer to this question is , yes, you absolutely can.  Now is it easy? of course not, I still struggle with this every day. However, it is possible.

 

Now I am pretty sure that there are women out there who are way busier than I am, but I’d like to think I’m at least in the top 25 list, maybe. LOL.

 

So if anyone has any tips on surviving this struggle, it is definitely me.

Let’s get into them…

Its easier said than done, but you have to plan and prepare for everything!

If you are trying to take your health and fitness to another level, you literally have to plan for everything. Because we all know when things aren’t running smoothly in our life, we literally run around like chickens with our heads cut off.

1. Always keep water with you even if you are just going on a quick errand.

I am giving this as one of my tips, but this is something I can definitely improve on myself. But if you are anything like me, running errands doesn’t always happen quickly, and its better to be prepared as opposed to the opposite

 

2. Prepare your meals and snacks ahead of time.

This is going back to the point I made earlier, THE KEY TO THIS IS PLANNING.  Although it seems like a dreadful task to prepare meals for a few days at a time, its actually the opposite. It saves you so much time and energy during the week.  I am thinking about doing a meal prep post soon, if that’s something you are interested in let me know.

 

3. Keep a stash of snacks with you in your car.

Of course this depends on where you live and what the weather is like ( I absolutely CAN’T do this in the summer here in Los Angeles.) Keeping a bag of snacks in your car can definitely keep you aligned with your health goals. A few quick items I like to keep in my car is mixed nuts, fruit, granola and snack bars.

4. Keep your gym bag in your car. More specifically, a pair of tennis shoes in your car.

I’m going to be completely honest right here, I know this is something that I need to practice more but I feel like it is a good tip for you all.  I can not explain how many times I wish I had my gym bag packed on the days when I thought I wouldn’t have time for the gym and I actually did have the time.

You do not have to spend hours working out. An efficient 20-30 minute workout will do!

Remember that good ole’ saying, Quality over Quantity.

 

5. If you have to purchase something when you are on the go, still be mindful of your choices. 

Basically, don’t allow yourself to fall into the trap of becoming HANGRY  and going to the first fast food drive through you see. That is a big no no.

These are great tips! I still struggle with all of these. However, I know that it really just takes time to prepare. Once, that’s done, all of the tips you mentioned above are possible!

I am literally the worst at this. I pack snacks but I eat them all before half the day is over. One day I’ll learn 😂
